Area presented the Spring 2026 collection at New York Fashion Week, the first under creative director Nicholas Aburn. The collection introduced a focus on daytime wear alongside the brand’s signature evening looks. Key pieces included a satin drop-shoulder oversize hoodie, a sheer long-sleeve top with under bra details, and tailored pants with cummerbund elements.
Denim, a house signature, was expanded into new forms with slashed treatments revealing crystals, jeans reimagined into gowns, and skirts twisted from pant legs resembling oversized bows.
Evening pieces included a dress with crystal cording cascading down the body, a multicolored pom-pom gown, a look encased in oversized silver paillettes, and a multicolored streamer dress.
