John Galliano’s Fall/Winter 2003 show was presented at the Théâtre de l’Empire in Paris, delivering one of the most energetic and theatrical moments of the season. The collection celebrated Galliano’s signature mix of fantasy, glamour, and bold historical references this time reimagining 1940s fashion through his vivid, surreal lens.
Models walked under flashing neon lights in bustled suits, exaggerated hourglass silhouettes, and Joan Crawford–inspired evening gowns, wearing rainbow-bright crocodile platform shoes with diamond buckles and plastic triangular eyebrows to match their looks. The designer described his vision as a “granny from hell” a tribute to unapologetic urban glamour and the joy of dressing up.
