LANVIN Spring 2026 Best Looks Paris – Fashion Channel
Peter Copping’s second Lanvin collection drew heavily from the house archive, focusing on the drop waisted wide panniered robe de style dress of the mid 1920s and the distinctive dusty shade of blue. This shape, a 20th century reinterpretation of 18th century court dress, was featured at the beginning and end of the show. Copping’s silk spring robes de style had a floppy, casualized attitude achieved through washing, which lent them a precious antique quality.
Though the robe de style was a key feature, the lineup was eclectic. It included sinuous knit dresses, reminiscent of the 1930s, and scarf prints draped into other dresses. Jazz Age geometric graphics were translated into schematized diamond pattern embroideries. The use of ribbons to weave and tie, or allowed to flow as fringes, added decorative movement. Copping integrated menswear, connected by men’s head wraps, potentially referencing the male principal dancers of the Ballets Russe. The men’s collection focused on relaxed but smart tailoring, presenting summer options like soft suits with long duster coats.
