Sittingsuits was born in 2019 on a cold Danish rooftop. Restaurateur Rebecca Johansen, owner of several restaurants in Elsinore, Denmark, had spent years serving customers outdoors. She decided to collaborate with designer Vibe Johansson to create something completely new: a wearable, warm, functional, and customizable solution — an “outfit” to wear over anything. Together, they tested the prototypes in Rebecca’s restaurants and perfected every detail until they achieved an impeccable result. Sittingsuits are designed to keep you warm, dry, and comfortable at the beach, on a terrace, while camping, or simply when getting some fresh air. Inspired by the Scandinavian climate and perfect to wear over any clothing, they are lightweight, windproof, and water-repellent, with a comfortable fit that works for all body types. Put them on over your clothes, zip up, and enjoy the outdoors longer — because well-being should never be limited by the weather. Each Sittingsuit is made with over 50% recycled material, using post-consumer recycled plastic bottles for the inner padding. All fabrics are OEKO-TEX® certified, guaranteeing they contain no harmful substances and ensuring their safety. We never use leather, fur, feathers, or exotic skins: only ethical, conscious materials chosen for durability, comfort, and minimal environmental impact.
