Vintage in Pills GENNY Spring 1997 Milan – Fashion Channel
Donatella Girombelli’s Spring/Summer 1997 womenswear collection for Genny was presented at Milan Fashion Week. The show featured a minimalist aesthetic with selective floral and embellished pieces. It opened with white garments including tailored jackets, pants, dresses, and swimwear with delicate ruffles and wave patterns.
A pastel section followed, with tiered skirts, larger ruffles, and more prominent embellishments. The palette then shifted to bright, abstract patterns, culminating in satin and chiffon gowns with embroidery and detailing. Accessories included clutch bags and heeled sandals, while hair and makeup remained natural.
