ALAINPAUL Fall 2026 Best Looks Paris – Fashion Channel

Alain Paul presented his collection at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (MAD), shown inside the museum’s exhibition space with access to its historical archives, which directly informed the design process.

The collection draws on 18th-century dress codes and the idea of the body as a staged, choreographed form. This concept is translated into silhouettes that reference period structure while remaining fluid in construction, exploring the contrast between posture, restriction, and movement.

Early looks introduce pannier-inspired shapes in soft viscose crepe, while later pieces revisit corsetry through modernized internal construction and updated boning techniques. Throughout the collection, historical references such as tapestry motifs and floral embroideries are reworked into contemporary prints and layered surfaces.

Tailoring is combined with volume through hourglass jackets and integrated ruffles, while several garments include adjustable construction elements that allow for variation in shape and fit. Lightweight Tyvek is also used across select pieces, introducing a technical, archival material into shirts, tanks, and outerwear.
