Vaquera’s Fall 2025 collection marks a transitional moment for designers Patric DiCaprio and Bryn Taubensee, who are preparing to relocate their brand from New York to Paris. This shift subtly informed the collection’s aesthetic, which mixed references to French bourgeois style with Vaquera’s signature irreverence and experimental approach.
Elements such as pillbox hats with oversized bows, faux pearl strands, sheer tights, pumps, and faux fur outerwear introduced a tongue-in-cheek nod to prim, classic Parisian codes. These were sharply contrasted by deconstructed silhouettes, shoulder-padded bodysuits, and low-rise denim exposing high-cut lines—reminiscent of early-2000s Margiela.
A standout feature was the use of oversized satin bra forms, worn as tops or integrated into dresses. Several looks incorporated prints of Marilyn Monroe in collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation. Outerwear played a strong role, including exaggerated moto jackets, a tailored coatdress, and a white-painted trench, blending bold form with wearable structure.
