Pierpaolo Piccioli’s debut for Balenciaga Spring 2026 at Paris Fashion Week blended heritage with modern sensuality. Drawing inspiration from Cristóbal Balenciaga’s archival designs, the collection reinterpreted signature silhouettes from the 1967 leather cape ensemble to the tulip and sack dresses with a sculptural and romantic touch.
Piccioli introduced new volumes using reinterpretations of gazar fabric, creating fluidity and lightness while maintaining structure. Black leather balloon skirts, tailored jackets, and cropped tops revealed a refined yet confident sensuality.
References to Balenciaga’s past creative eras surfaced through Ghesquière-inspired coats, Demna-style denim and proportions, and reimagined Le City bags, merging tradition and streetwear.
The result was a powerful statement of continuity a tribute to the house’s history transformed through Piccioli’s poetic vision.
