Olivier Rousteing’s Spring 2026 collection for Balmain celebrated the seaside through sculptural and tactile designs. The lineup featured strapless dresses resembling towels, macramé pieces with long fringe, and garments adorned with seashells and wooden beads. Molded sand-inspired bustiers and bras continued the designer’s exploration of form and texture.
Silhouettes were looser and more relaxed, with sarouel and parachute pants, open-knit sweaters, and draped jersey tops replacing Balmain’s usual structured embroidery. A standout piece was a stiff bustier that mimicked the crystalline texture of amethyst.
Presented at the InterContinental Paris-Le Grand, the collection marked a softer turn for the house in its 80th anniversary year, reflecting Rousteing’s focus on freedom and ease through craftsmanship and natural motifs.
