Gabriela Hearst’s Fall collection, presented at the Petit Palais during Paris Fashion Week, was inspired by British humanitarian Eglantyne Jebb.
The collection explored Edwardian-inspired silhouettes and modern tailoring, combining historical references with contemporary construction. Key looks included long flowing gowns in cashmere and lace, structured shearling coats, and untreated leather outerwear described as “coats for life”.
Materials played a central role, with emphasis on cashmere, shearling, Donegal tweed, and suede detailing, often combined in layered ensembles. Knitwear and tailoring were coordinated in matching textures and tones to create cohesive looks.
The collection also introduced repurposed fur elements, used in garments, accessories, and handbags. Footwear included hand-painted cowboy boots, incorporating narrative motifs referencing the collection’s inspiration.
