Sarah Burton’s second collection for Givenchy continued to define the new silhouette she’s crafting for the house. Building on her debut, Burton focused on refining cut, proportion, and softness, easing the exaggerated structures from her first season. Jackets and coats were lightened by removing internal canvases, resulting in a more fluid tailoring approach.
Key looks included coatdresses with peeled lapels, low-draped skirts resembling wrapped fabric, and sheer mesh dresses that emphasized the tension between strength and sensuality. Accessories and styling reinforced this duality sharp heels, chunky necklaces, and delicate lingerie details balanced control and allure.
Touches of couture appeared throughout: an embroidered off-the-shoulder coat in pool blue, a white draped gown with hanging silk threads, and a peach-toned bra top and skirt crafted from shredded chiffon that mimicked feathers.
