Jason Wu’s Spring 2026 show drew inspiration from Robert Rauschenberg’s 1970s Hoarfrost series and Airport Suite editions, incorporating layered translucent textiles, cardboard references, and solvent-transferred imagery. The collection featured airy organza garments with collage and patchwork effects, including trompe-l’oeil prints of Purina Dog Chow bags and retro lingerie works. Artisanal textures appeared throughout: washed satin stripes turned into fringes, a brown corset dress with cardboard-inspired layering, and evening and sportswear pieces with draped sheer and printed panels that created added dimension.
