Recorded at Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin, this episode of CHANEL Connects brings Yana Peel into conversation with artist and composer Lina Lapelytė. At the centre is ‘We Make Years Out of Hours’—a large-scale, living artwork built from wood, voices, movement and audience participation. Lapelytė—winner of the 2019 Venice Biennale’s Golden Lion—reflects on creating communal experiences, writing with performers in mind, and drawing from poetry, folk tradition and everyday life to make work that feels generous, open and deeply human.
