Maison Mesa presented its new collection, “I’m No Angel,” inspired by the figure of Mae West and her philosophy of independence, wit, and defiance of social norms. The collection reflects her legacy as a self-made Hollywood icon who challenged conventions around sexuality, censorship, and female autonomy.
The runway combines menswear and womenswear through fluid tailoring, relaxed silhouettes, and structured contrasts, ranging from loose geometric forms to more fitted, sculptural pieces. Tailored suits, pleated trousers, knitwear, and voluminous dresses are reinterpreted with fabrics such as lurex, velvet, tartan, and transparent layers, balancing comfort with theatrical expression.
The color palette moves from earthy neutrals to vivid reds, fuchsias, blues, and metallic tones, reinforcing the theme of self-expression and identity. Crafted collaborations in knitwear, footwear, jewelry, and leatherwork emphasize artisanal detail and Spanish craftsmanship.
