RICK OWENS Spring 2027 Menswear Paris – 4K
Rick Owens presented a Spring collection at the Palais de Tokyo, where a suspended runway crossed the venue’s pool beneath towering water fountains. Against the backdrop of extreme summer heat, the collection explored themes of tension, resilience, and physical endurance through Owens’ signature sculptural silhouettes.
Technical innovation met experimental construction with foam and latex “tensegrity” chaps inspired by architectural structures, inflatable Adidas collaboration pieces featuring integrated cooling technology, and performance footwear developed with the sportswear brand. Tailoring featured strong shoulders, removable leather epaulettes, and compact silk fabrics, while technical jerseys, leather, latex, and recycled nylon balanced utility with Owens’ characteristic dark sensuality.
Throughout the collection, athletic references merged with fetish-inspired elements, reinforcing the designer’s exploration of the body as both a functional and expressive form. Combining technical craftsmanship with architectural experimentation, the collection remained firmly rooted in Owens’ distinctive vision of futuristic, uncompromising design.
