The collection blends organic textures, sculptural silhouettes, and artisanal techniques into a couture expression rooted in sustainability and imagination.
Key looks include a leaf-like corseted dress, hand-embroidered birds on grassy skirts, layered silk mousseline animal prints, sculpted plissé pieces, and fur-like creations made from alternating organza and mousseline. Highlights also feature padded dresses embroidered with fish, a collage-knit hooded cardigan, and a richly embellished coat built from repurposed bric-a-brac.
The collection reflects van der Kemp’s long-standing commitment to upcycling and handcraft, balancing bold aesthetics with sustainability. From biomimicry-inspired garments to retro-futuristic silhouettes, Wardrobe 22 is both experimental and rooted in artisanal excellence.
