The Christian Dior Autumn/Winter 1995 collection by Gianfranco Ferré, presented at Paris Fashion Week, drew inspiration from the 1950s, emphasizing feminine silhouettes and luxurious fabrics. The collection showcased a wide range of garments, including a plethora of coats and structured suits styled with pencil skirts, as well as tailored and palazzo pants, and hourglass dresses.
The rich color palette, featuring vivid red, green, black, white, and beige, frequently contrasted with striking leopard and zebra prints. Evening gowns and ball gowns, constructed from velvet, chiffon, and organza, were shown primarily in black and white and were embellished with sequins, silver and gold embroidery, and beading. Shawls, gloves, and elaborate accessories like earrings, rings, necklaces, and brooches contributed to a luxurious and maximalist style. The ensembles were completed by jewel-decorated slim heels, while the beauty look featured chic updos and defined makeup with rouged lips and blue eyeshadow.
