Vintage in Pills PRADA Spring 2001 Milan – Fashion Channel
For her Spring 2001 collection, Miuccia Prada shifted away from delicate romanticism toward a sharper, more seductive edge. Drawing inspiration from the ’50s filtered through the ’80s, she presented a collection defined by structure, attitude, and bold contrasts. The silhouette was precise and sculpted, with voluminous pleated skirts in black and gray paired with fitted tops cropped or cinched by ribbed cummerbunds.
Pops of color yellow pencil skirts with red polos, green blazers over blue turtlenecks, and empire-waist dresses brought playful tension to the refined aesthetic. As always, accessories played a starring role: graphic, brightly colored cone-heel pumps with flashes of fuchsia and green added a modern twist, capturing Prada’s unmistakable balance of intellect and irreverence.
