Zegna presented its collection on Malibu Pier in Los Angeles, bringing the spirit of the Italian *villeggiatura* the tradition of spending extended summer periods by the sea to California. Designed by Alessandro Sartori, the collection explored relaxed elegance through a wardrobe inspired by 1970s leisure and travel.
Soft tailoring, puckered silk seersucker suits, safari jackets, knit shirt-jackets, cardigans, and relaxed trousers defined the silhouette, while a palette of earthy browns and sun-faded tones reinforced the collection’s laid-back atmosphere. Travel played a central role, reflected in an abundance of luggage and versatile layering pieces designed for movement and long summer stays away from home.
Alongside its vintage references, the collection showcased Zegna’s commitment to textile innovation, incorporating washable leather, leather knitwear, and fabrics developed by combining modern yarns with historic weaving techniques. The result was a sophisticated menswear proposal that balanced heritage, craftsmanship, and contemporary functionality.
